004 : Neon Unreal: Project bossfight

In this project, we are working as a full team of developers to create a game together. The project is still in the early stages of development, but the main premise is to design a boss fight level that players can tackle using a variety of unique mechanics.

Not a lot is set in stone yet, and many aspects are still subject to change, but we have already defined a few core mechanics. Of those, I was tasked with creating a first-person sword attack that allows the player to hit weak points on the boss.

For the sword attack, I created a blueprint that interacts with the weak point system, made animations for the sword swing to ensure everything matches up, added visual effects to tie it all together, and implemented a sword model made by one of the developers.

As the game is still in development, I unfortunately can’t share the GitHub page yet, but below you can find various examples of the system I worked on!
